Three teenagers have been arrested after fireworks were thrown at police and firefighters during Bonfire Night in Manchester.
A large group of people were reported to have been throwing fireworks and missiles on Vine Street, Gorton, at 16:15 GMT on Tuesday.
Supt Richard McNamara said three males aged between 16 and 18 had been arrested on suspicion of causing violent disorder and were in custody for questioning, with further arrests to follow.
"It is shocking that we are seeing fireworks being used as a weapon towards emergency services as they try and keep our communities safe," he said.
