Lewis Hamilton says he has struggled with his emotions during his final season with Mercedes but ultimately wants to end his 12-year career with the team "the right way".
The 39-year-old has signed a multi-year deal to join Ferrari in 2025 and will take part in his last race for the Silver Arrows in Abu Dhabi this weekend.
Hamilton secured six of his record-equalling seven drivers' championships with the team but has found it difficult to replicate that same form since losing out on a historic eighth title in 2021.
"It's been a very emotional year for me and I don't think I've been the best at handling my emotions this year," said Hamilton on Thursday.
"You've seen the best of me and the worst of me, but I'm not going to apologise as I'm human."
