A murder investigation has been started after a woman died in a hit-and-run crash in a Derbyshire village.
Police said they were called to Batley Lane in Pleasley at 20:00 GMT on Tuesday, where a dark-coloured 4x4 had followed two e-bikes before "ramming" one of the bikes, causing the rider and pillion to fall off, and then driving away.
A 25-year-old woman who was the passenger on the e-bike died at the scene while the rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers said a man and woman, both in their 30s and from the Skegby area of Nottinghamshire, had been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.
