A charity wants to give out hundreds of pushchairs to families who cannot afford one.
The Birmingham Playcare Network said four businesses had already come forward to give £12,000, which was enough to buy about 200, but it needed more.
The charity's business development manager, Emma Martin, said one mother was forced to use a shopping trolley to take her child to a health appointment, which was "just absolutely unacceptable".
Ms Martin said her initial aim was to give out 500 pushchairs.
